Christeen Verchot

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of endorsement for Mr. Johnny Walker.  I have had the honor of working with Johnny over the past year and a half when our Non-profit, Project Veterans Pride (PVP) was in need of locating a property.  Johnny came highly recommended to us due to his outstanding reputation as a relator well as his commitment to veterans’ services. To best understand the importance of this relationship, let me share with you a who we are and what we do:

Project Veterans Pride (PVP), a non-profit 501(c)3 organization founded by veterans for veterans in August 2011 to address the devastating incidence of homelessness among men and women who risked their lives for this nation. The goal is to assist homeless veterans in finding permanent housing, resulting in the veteran gaining back their pride as a productive member of society.  This is done through PVP’s James Walton Home (JWH) Program.

The James Walton Home (JWH) Program is a 30/60/90day program which provides homeless veterans a homelike setting that is safe, serene and free of drugs and alcohol. The goal of the Program’s case management is to assist the veteran in identifying barriers that led to homelessness and with developing a plan to move forward and out of homelessness. Since opening its doors, 4 years ago, we have admitted 564 individuals, ranging in age from 23-87, and, to date have a 92% success rate for finding permanent housing.

Due to outgrowing the present location, the high rental payments and need for a installing a commercial kitchen, PVP enlisted the services of Johnny to find a property which would meet our needs. Multiple agency requirements had to be taken into consideration which put limitations on the available properties. Johnny was able to locate a suitable property whose purchase was contingent on obtaining the appropriate zoning. Johnny’s experience and knowledge of the zoning process provided us with guidance and support throughout the zoning phase.

PVP could not have done this without the commitment Johnny made to us well over a year ago. What made this experience less daunting was how professional Johnny was, always being available to answer any questions and providing humor often during stressful situations. Project Veterans Pride is blessed to have Mr. Johnny Walker now a part of our family.

Please contact me if you have any questions,

Sincerely,
